Control Stations

Ex Control Stations

ATEX and IECEx control stations by HARDO are certified for use in Ex Zones 1/2 and 21/22. We manufacture Ex e and Ex t control stations made of glass reinforced polyester (GRP), aluminium alloy or stainless steel (AISI 316L). In addition to standard products, we build control panels based according to customers’ requirements. In this case they can choose a wide range of components like switches, pushbuttons, gauges and other devices (also coming form 3rd party manufacturers).

Ex e or Ex t control stations – which one to choose?

Ex e explosion-protected control stations provide an impact resistant enclosure for electrical equipment and ensure that the contents will not produce a spark or temperature which could ignite the external flammable atmosphere in a hazardous areas. This type of Ex control panels can be used for flammable gases, vapors and dusts.

Ex t explosion-protected control stations prevent combustible dust (IIIC) from penetration into the enclosure and ensure surface temperature limitation for use in explosive dust atmospheres. This type of Ex control panels is intended for use with flammable dusts only.

The enclosures of HCS1P control stations are made of impact-resistant glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP). Our junction boxes have IP65/66 rating. All metallic parts are made of non-corrosive materials. HCS1P series control stations can be fitted with a variety of components like pushbuttons, signal lamps, switches and ammeters. A wide range of third party components is available.

What is an explosion-protected control station?

An explosion-protected (ATEX / IECEx certyfied) control station is a type of electrical device designed to provide safe control and monitoring of electrical equipment in hazardous areas. These control stations are constructed from materials which are resistant to high temperatures, corrosion and impact.

Where to use explosion-protected control station?

It is essential to use explosion-protected control stations in all hazardous areas because they ensure that electrical equipment operates safely without causing any explosion or fire. These control stations are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and maintain their integrity providing critical protection for workers and the surrounding environment.

Explosion-protected control stations are essential in all hazardous areas as they provide a safe and reliable way to control and monitor electrical equipment. Failure to use an explosion-protected control station can lead to catastrophic consequences, including loss of life, property damage and environmental contamination.

Why to use an explosion-protected control station?

Explosion-protected control stations typically contain switches, pushbuttons, gauges and other devices which enable operators to safely control and monitor electrical equipment. They are commonly used in hazardous areas such as oil refineries, chemical processing, power generation, waste water treatment facilities and coal mines where the presence of flammable gases or dust creates a risk of explosion.

ATEX control stations

ATEX control stations are specialized electrical devices designed to operate safely in hazardous areas where explosive gases or dust are present. These control stations are certified to comply with the ATEX Directive, a set of EU regulations which requires explosion-protected equipment to be designed and tested to ensure they can be safely used for such applications.

Ex control stations offer a range of unique benefits making them essential components for businesses operating in high-risk industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, food processing and mining. They are constructed from materials which are resistant to high temperatures, corrosion and impact.

One of the primary benefits of Ex control stations is their ability to prevent explosions and fires in hazardous areas. They are designed and built to withstand harsh environmental conditions and provide critical protection for workers and equipment. By investing in ATEX certified control stations you can ensure that your equipment operates safely and protects personnel and facility from any harm.

When choosing ATEX certified control stations it’s important to consider factors such as specific ATEX Zone requirements, the environment in which they will be used and the type of equipment they will be controlling. ATEX certified control stations are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit different applications and requirements.

By using ATEX certified control stations you can demonstrate a commitment to safety and responsible manufacturing practices which can help to improve business reputation and customer trust. They offer a reliable and robust solution to protect personnel and equipment in hazardous areas and can provide peace of mind for those working in high-risk industries. Investing in ATEX certified control stations is crucial to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements and can help prevent personnel accidents and injuries as well as property damage.

IECEx control stations

IECEx control stations are specialized electrical devices designed to operate safely in hazardous environments where explosive gases, vapors or dust are present. These control stations are certified to comply with the IECEx standards which is an international system for the certification of equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres.

IECEx control stations offer a range of unique benefits which make them an essential component for businesses operating in high-risk industries. They are built to withstand harsh environmental conditions and provide critical protection for workers and equipment. They are constructed from materials which are resistant to high temperatures, corrosion and impact.

One of the primary benefits of IECEx control stations is their international recognition which makes them suitable for use in a wide range of countries and industries. They are also designed to meet specific requirements of a variety of hazardous areas providing customized solutions which are tailored to the needs of each business.

When choosing IECEx certified control stations it’s important to consider factors such as the specific requirements of each hazardous area, the equipment they will be controlling and the available space. IECEx certified control stations are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit different applications and requirements.

By using IECEx certified control stations businesses can ensure that their equipment operates safely and efficiently which can help to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
