The new Ex ATEX luminaire of the PrimeLine series for use in the first hazardous area is based on the proven OptiLine lamp design. Thanks to the use of already existing, reliable solutions, it will be possible to significantly reduce production costs, which will translate into a lower final price – by up to several to 30% compared to competitive solutions. Voltage disconnection when the diffuser is removed

PrimeLine explosion-proof luminaires can optionally be fitted with an integrated isolation switch, which automatically disconnects the power supply when the diffuser is open. Ex ATEX PrimeLine luminaires for use in Zone 1 explosive atmospheres come in two lengths – 670 mm and 1270 mm – to suit different applications and installation spaces.

Electrical stability and high Power Factor

Most Ex PrimeLine luminaire variants achieve a Power Factor ≥ 0.98, meaning minimal energy loss and electrical system stability, resulting in greater efficiency and lower operating costs. Variants for 230-250 VAC achieve PF = 0.98-0.99, confirming high quality and reliable performance under demanding conditions.

This high power factor reduces the load on the grid and improves the energy efficiency of the installation, which is particularly important in industrial applications. As a result, ATEX PrimeLine luminaires meet stringent quality standards and help optimise energy consumption in companies.

Luminous flux and colour of Ex ATEX luminaire for zone 1

PrimeLine will be characterised by its very high lumen output. Thus, in the category of ATEX luminaires for zone 1, few manufacturers will be able to offer better performance than PrimeLine.

For example:

Three hours on battery

The Ex PrimeLine emergency luminaire with integrated battery is designed to operate for 1.5 hours or 3 hours, depending on the option chosen.

For applications in sub-zero temperatures, the option of fitting a heater is available, allowing the luminaire to operate stably and maintain battery performance. Thus, the version with heater also allows 1.5-hour emergency operation, even in severe weather conditions.

Certification and Safety

The new emergency luminaires will be ATEX- and IECEx-certified, and the versions for the Polish market will also be CNBOP-certified, ensuring compliance with the safety requirements applicable on the Polish and European markets.

Extremely negative operating temperatures of the emergency version with battery

One of the key advantages of the new Ex luminaire for Zone 1 hazardous area is that it can be used as an emergency version with a battery in sub-zero temperatures (down to -20°C), which is rare for this type of product. This solution makes it ideal for outdoor use, as well as in areas requiring cooling.

The ATEX PrimeLine luminaire is designed to operate in extreme temperatures, both negative and positive:

  1. Standard versions – from -40°C to +50°C (optional up to +55°C)
  2. Emergency versions – from 0°C to +45°C, (optional from -20°C)
  3. Versions with central battery – -30°C to +50°C
