Description
Construction
Aluminium alloy used to manufacture HTB1A series of terminal boxes has been selected to grant the maximum protection against the highly corrosive agents and harsh environment in hazardous areas. HTB1A enclosures have following features:
body and cover are made of an aluminium alloy with very low (less than 0,1%) content of copper to provide the maximum corrosion protection
made of copper-free aluminium, enclosures guarantee high resistance to sea water corrosion and can withstand the harshest temperatures
enclosure can house Ex e and Ex i terminals. Maximum number of terminals depends on terminals’ section, enclosure operating temperature and required temperature class
cover screws are made of stainless steel AISI 316L.
cover gasket is made of silicone
internal fixing screws are made of stainless steel AISI 316L
Application
HTB1A series of terminal box enclosures can be used for the following applications:

instrument housings
switches and changeovers

HTB1A series terminal boxes can accommodate terminals for wires with a maximum diameter of 16mm2 including terminals for intrinsically safe circuits. They are ideal for offshore and onshore applications where harsh and explosive atmosphere is present.
