EXAMPLE 1
Junction box with optimized design
Using a vertical DIN rail allowed us to reduce the number of terminals by half and allow a smaller enclosure.
Elongated shape of the enclosure provides enough space to bend thick cables (more space on the left side for cables with larger diameters).
An integrated mounting plate with earthing ensures that potential is equalized and reduces the number of terminals.

EXAMPLE 2
Junction box – basic version
Horizontal DIN rail is mounted with embedded stainless steel nuts.
Terminals come in three standard colors, with end stops – terminal layout, markings, and flag descriptions are made according to customer requirements.
Polyamide cable glands mounted in threaded entries ensure high ingress protection.

EXAMPLE 3
Basic version with PE earthing bar
Relocating PE terminals from the DIN rail to a dedicated bar reduces costs and, in many cases, allows for a smaller enclosure.
The PE/PA bar can be mounted along any enclosure wall.
A dedicated connector equalizes the potential between the PE/PA bar and the DIN rail (no extra wiring is required).

Junction box with metal cable glands earthed with a brass plate
Standard solution for enclosures with metal cable glands.
Earthing plate ensures potential equalization of the cable glands.
Terminals come in three standard colors – layout, terminal markings, and flag descriptions are made according to customer requirements.

EXAMPLE 5
Version with metal cable glands earthed with washers
Nickel-plated brass earthing washer is a cost-effective alternative to earthing plates.
This earthing method is used when a maximum of two cable glands are installed on one wall.
Earthing screw allows connection of the enclosure to an external earthing point.

High resistance to weather conditions and chemicals

Glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP), used for manufacturing HTB1P series terminal boxes, was selected to provide maximum protection against corrosion-causing factors and UV radiation.
HTB1P enclosures feature:
Cover screws made of AISI 316L stainless steel
Silicone gasket fitted to the cover
Internal mounting screws made of corrosion-resistant material
Wide range of enclosure sizes to meet all customer requirements
Hinged cover (optional)
Compatibility with polyamide or metal cable glands
Material resistance to weather conditions
The material used for the enclosures is highly durable and therefore well suited for demanding Ex-zone environments.
The material complies with the requirements of ISO 4892 and UL 746C standards.
Tests conducted on this material have shown that mechanical damage caused by operation in harsh conditions reduces strength by only 10–15% over a period of 20 years.
Erosion results from UV exposure and mechanical and thermal influences such as wind and rain. This phenomenon affects only the external appearance; almost no reduction in impact strength or flexural strength has been observed.
Explosion-proof GRP terminal boxes
HTB1P terminal boxes, made of glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP), are designed for use in explosive atmospheres: Zones 1, 2 (gases) and 21, 22 (dusts). They feature high resistance to corrosion and UV radiation, ensuring long-term durability even in harsh industrial environments. The boxes are used in industries such as chemical, petrochemical, and power generation.
Applications
HTB1P series terminal boxes allow installation of terminals for conductors with a maximum cross-section of 16 mm², including terminals for intrinsically safe circuits.
