HARDO explosion-proof plugs and sockets: maximum safety in the harshest industrial environments.
Durable materials and high IP66 protection rating
The construction made of stainless steel or flame-retardant plastics ensures high resistance to corrosion, extreme temperatures and mechanical damage. All this with a high degree of IP66 protection, thanks to which HARDO plugs and sockets are completely dustproof and resistant to high-pressure water.
Wide range of voltages and currents
HARDO plugs and sockets can be used worldwide in a wide range of industrial sectors, as they are suitable for different voltage and current values.

Reliable connection system
The locking mechanism used in our plugs and sockets prevents accidental disconnection of the power supply. So you avoid dangerous sparking resulting from loose contacts.
Simple installation and maintenance
Nak all HARDO products, we have designed our plugs and sockets with the user in mind: their installation is quick and intuitive and their maintenance is simple and requires no specialist tools.
Plugs and sockets for explosion hazardous areas
HARDO explosion-proof plugs and sockets are specialised electrical connectors suitable for use in Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Their extremely robust housings tightly isolate any potential ignition sources. In the event of a fault, the spark is trapped inside the housing and does not enter the explosive atmosphere. This solution effectively protects people, equipment and the entire infrastructure from a potential ignition source entering the vicinity of the explosive atmosphere.
Installation of Ex sockets
Explosion-proof sockets can be designed for wall or flange mounting.
If you opt for sockets designed for wall mounting, you will be able to mount them not only on walls but also on other flat surfaces. With this solution, you can facilitate access to the socket in your production space.
However, sockets do not have to be mounted only on walls. In many cases, it is necessary to mount them directly on industrial equipment. Flange-mounted sockets are designed for such applications. Special square flanges enable them to be installed safely and quickly in the required locations.
Damage resistance
The glass fibre reinforced BMC resin housing is resistant to harsh and extreme industrial conditions. This extends the life and resistance of the sockets and plugs to corrosion, high temperatures, mechanical impact or aggressive chemicals.
Use of Ex ATEX plugs and sockets
Protection of the electrical installation under conditions of high risk of ignition of gaseous or dust explosive atmospheres is necessary in many industries, for example:

in the oil and gas industry,

in chemical and petrochemical plants,

in factories processing bulk materials,

on offshore platforms.
